We Are Doomed** is a twin-stick, wave-based arena shooter where the objective is to build up a powerful weapon in addition to your score. The regular attack beam becomes super when you collect enough cubes to augment it. That augmentation is only temporary though and you will need to rinse and repeat to make it through the waves of numerous enemies.
Challenge is something that We Are Doomed has no shortage of. You start, and I believe are maxed out, with 3 lives. Getting hit can not only reduce your score multiplier but it will take away one of your precious lives. This game made me actually think about hand eye coordination as it was so key to playing well.
The enemies are varied and plentiful; many will frustrate you beyond belief. Some enemies are stationary and spawn a seemingly endless amount of smaller foes that have to be dealt with. We Are Doomed is a simple but challenging. Fans of games like Geometry Wars would likely enjoy it.
