Minutes tasks players with filling in an empty ring by moving it around and coming in contact with light colored lines, line segments, beams and even smaller color-shifting rings. Sounds simple but you only have 60 seconds to complete each level. Of course this is in addition to the black lines, line segements, beams and rings that can cause your ring to explode should you make too much contact with them. Filling up your ring also gives you points; earn enough points and you will be rewarded with a star. Groups of levels are gated by stars – so you’ll need them.
Minutes can be quite challenging and allows you to play the way you want once you have progressed to a point where you can use power-ups. There are four power-ups for slowing time, reducing “damage”, a shield and an offensive blast. You can only use one power-up per level – so choose wisely. Daily challenges allow you to use the abilities you have earned and can be tried once but practiced many times. Minutes plays well on the PS4 and the Vita and also has manual cloud save syncing. Overall it’s fun enough on the road and at home to spare a couple of seconds for.
